What happened: In two videos on the TPOB channel, the speaker accuses Chris Bossio and the Tomb45 community of acting against his brand. He describes a group ban, a deleted comment and an alleged $80,000 demand. He uses an unnamed plural pronoun for the people behind that demand; the video does not identify them in that sentence. The follow-up questions Bossio’s credibility and disputes claims about helping TPOB build its business. These are the speaker’s allegations and opinions, not findings about the people named.
The Pissed Off Barber controversy is a public dispute between the founder of the clipper brand TPOB (The Pissed Off Barber) and Chris Bossio, the barber and educator behind Tomb45. It played out in two YouTube videos from the TPOB founder that accused Bossio of working against his brand, and it still drives searches from barbers trying to work out what happened before they buy from either company.

Who is TPOB?
TPOB stands for The Pissed Off Barber, a UK-founded barber tool brand that built its following on social media and direct-to-consumer sales. The brand sells clippers, trimmers, shavers and accessories aimed at working barbers, and its founder fronts the company’s YouTube channel himself, which is where the videos at the center of this dispute were posted. Its best-known products include the TPOB Slime 2 clipper and the TPOB GO clipper and trimmer set, both of which we have covered in detail elsewhere on this site.

Who is Chris Bossio?
Chris Bossio is a Florida-based barber, educator and content creator who founded Tomb45, a brand that sells clippers, trimmers and barber education courses. He built one of the largest followings in the barber industry through YouTube tutorials and his Bossiocuts channel, and he is one of the most recognizable figures in modern barbering. For the full story, read our piece on Chris Bossio’s success story and how he got there.
The two videos that started it
The dispute became public when the TPOB founder posted two videos on the brand’s channel criticizing Bossio and Tomb45 and describing what he says happened between them:
What he says in the first video
In “Chris Bossio and Tomb 45 Hurt My Feelings,” the TPOB founder makes a series of claims about how he says Bossio and the Tomb45 community treated his brand:
- He says a deleted comment, which he attributes to Bossio, called a clipper brand “white label rubbish” in reply to a post comparing TPOB and Tomb45 clippers. He says he was told about it by others and by screenshot.
- He says Bossio helped to “blackball” TPOB behind the scenes in a passive-aggressive way, and that Tomb45 staff and group members criticized TPOB publicly.
- He says he was banned from a Tomb45 community group while Bossio knew that unnamed people were demanding $80,000 from him. He does not name those people in that sentence. Later comments about pressure from competitors do not establish who made the alleged demand, and he does not say Bossio made it.
- He says a Tomb45 group admin posted a negative review of a TPOB clipper while using a Gamma code in a bio.
- He asks Bossio to apologize and says Tomb45 sells white-label products itself.
What he says in the second video
In the follow-up, “Chris Bossio The Compulsive Liar,” he goes further:
- He says barbers should not trust Bossio again and that Bossio is “no longer one of us.”
- He says Bossio has claimed he made TPOB’s founder a millionaire and taught him the business. The speaker denies both and says the two had barely spoken.
- He says Bossio’s recent products did not sell well and that Tomb45 is moving toward courses.
How the two accounts fit together
The first video lays out the speaker’s complaints about the group and the deleted comment. The follow-up focuses on his relationship with Bossio and disputes the idea that Bossio built his business. In both, the accusations come from the TPOB speaker; neither video is a reply from Bossio or Tomb45.

Where this leaves buyers
Nothing in the dispute tells you which clipper cuts better. Both brands sell tools that working barbers use every day, and the claims above are one side of an argument between competitors, not a verdict on the hardware. If you are choosing clippers, judge each brand by its specs, warranty and the owner reports you can check, not by the dispute. For most buyers that means comparing a TPOB clipper such as the TPOB Slime 2 against an established benchmark like the Wahl Magic Clip Cordless.
For the tools themselves, we have reviewed both sides of the TPOB lineup: our TPOB Slime 2 vs Wahl Magic Clip Cordless comparison puts the brand’s flagship clipper up against the industry standard, and our TPOB GO review breaks down 360Jeezy’s watch-before-you-buy verdict on the newer set.

What TPOB Actually Sells
Strip away the videos and TPOB is a fairly conventional barber tool brand: cordless clippers, trimmers, foil shavers, blades, guards and charging accessories, sold through its own US store and through TPOB-sold listings on Amazon. These are the main clippers and trimmers buyers caught up in the controversy are usually comparing, with the specs the listings themselves state.
- TPOB Slime 2: the brand’s best-known single clipper. The Amazon listing names a 6,800 RPM motor and a DLC-coated X Fade blade. It sits under $60 on Amazon as of October 31, 2026.
- TPOB Play: a rubber-grip clipper that barber Marvy Marv called the quietest he had used. The Amazon listing names a 7,500 RPM motor; TPOB’s own Black & White edition lists dual speeds of 6,000 and 7,500 RPM and a one-year warranty on non-moving parts.
- TPOB Mini Play: a compact dual-speed version for detail work and smaller hands.
- TPOB GO clipper: the newer flagship, listed with a 7,000–9,000 RPM motor, an instant-boost button and a graphene-coated Architek blade. The GO set adds a trimmer and shaver in one box.
- TPOB X trimmer: a brushless trimmer with the Psycho blade, for line-ups and edging.
Prices on TPOB’s own store and on Amazon differ by edition and kit, so match the exact listing before comparing. Our full ranking of the lineup is in our guide to the best TPOB clippers.
What Tomb45 Sells Now
The other company in the dispute has changed shape since the videos. In April 2025, Tomb45 launched a collaboration with BaBylissPRO that, according to The Tease, includes a clipper, a trimmer, a charging mat and a hair dryer. The Tease lists the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 clipper with a dual-speed motor (6,800 and 7,500 RPM), wireless-charging compatibility and up to four hours of runtime, with the charging pad sold separately.
Bossio told The Tease the line was “made by barbers, for barbers.” That is a maker’s description, like any brand’s marketing, and it is worth reading beside the TPOB speaker’s claim that Tomb45 sells white-label products: neither statement is an independent finding about how either company’s tools are made. On Amazon, the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 Wireless Charging Hair Clipper and the matching BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 Wireless Charging Hair Trimmer both sell at well above TPOB’s prices, roughly $230–250 each when we checked on October 31, 2026.

Alternatives From Other Brands
If the dispute has put you off both companies, the clippers working barbers have relied on for years are the obvious comparison. These are the ones buyers most often weigh against TPOB:
- Wahl Magic Clip Cordless: the long-running shop standard for fading, with a stagger-tooth blade. Our TPOB Slime 2 vs Wahl Magic Clip guide compares the two spec by spec.
- Wahl 5 Star Legend: a corded fade clipper for barbers who would rather never think about a battery.
- Stylecraft Protégé: a cordless budget alternative in a similar price band to the TPOB Play.
None of these is “the answer” to the controversy. They are simply well-known options with long service records, warranty support from large manufacturers, and plenty of guards and replacement blades in circulation.

How to Judge a Clipper Brand Beyond the Dispute
The useful questions for a buyer have nothing to do with who said what on YouTube:
- Who stands behind the warranty? TPOB’s US warranty terms name the contracting company as Newman Enterprises Limited, registered in Hong Kong, route claims through its support email with proof of purchase, and say a warranty fee may apply to products more than 90 days but under a year old. Read the terms for any brand before you buy.
- Who is the seller? On Amazon, check that the listing is sold by the brand or Amazon, not an unknown third party, so the warranty applies.
- Can you get blades and guards? A clipper is only as good as the spare parts you can buy for it. TPOB, Wahl and BaBylissPRO all sell replacement blades and guards; check the exact model’s compatibility.
- What do owners report after months, not days? Long-term owner reviews from working barbers say more than launch-week hype or a feud.
- Does it fit your hand and your cuts? A quiet, light clipper suits some barbers; a heavier corded one suits others. That choice is yours, whatever the brands think of each other.

FAQ
Did Chris Bossio respond to the TPOB videos? The two videos embedded here contain the TPOB speaker’s account, not a sourced response from Bossio or Tomb45. Read them as one side of the dispute rather than as a record of every public statement by the people named.
Is TPOB a white label brand? The TPOB speaker says a deleted comment used the phrase “white label” about his brand. He also applies that description to Tomb45. In these videos, it is an accusation exchanged in the dispute, not a demonstrated account of either company’s manufacturing arrangements.
Where can I watch the two videos? Both videos are embedded above: “Chris Bossio and Tomb 45 Hurt My Feelings” and “Chris Bossio The Compulsive Liar” on TPOB’s YouTube channel.
Who owns TPOB? In a TPOB channel video titled “TPOB IS BARBER OWNED”, the founder says he owns 100% of the brand, including its US business. TPOB’s US warranty terms name the company as Newman Enterprises Limited, registered in Hong Kong.
Is Tomb45 owned by Chris Bossio? Tomb45’s own site describes Bossio as the founder and co-owner of the brand. Since April 2025, Tomb45 has also sold a line of clippers and trimmers made in collaboration with BaBylissPRO.
Are TPOB clippers worth buying after the controversy? The dispute is about the people, not the hardware. Judge a TPOB clipper such as the TPOB Play on its warranty, seller, spare parts and long-term owner reports, the same way you would judge any brand.
Did the controversy change TPOB’s products or prices? We found nothing in either video that describes a product change. Prices vary by edition and seller, so check the exact listing on the day you buy.
