Who He Is
Bossio co-owns Headlines Barbershops in the Tampa area. When we re-checked on October 31, 2026, the Headlines Barbers website (headlinesbarbers.com) said there are ten Headlines shops around Tampa Bay, in Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, Lutz and Brandon. A 2020 conference bio and YouTube’s own 2021 profile of him both put the count at seven, so it has grown over time. He runs a YouTube channel under the name Bossiocuts, and he founded Tomb45, a barber products and education brand. His Instagram handle is @bossiocuts.
How He Built It: The Shop First, YouTube Second
The clearest account of how Bossio got here comes from YouTube’s own blog, which profiled him in April 2021. According to that profile, he spent two years in barber school and then opened Headlines in Tampa. Business was slow at first, so he used the quiet time to teach the other barbers in the shop new techniques. His business partners liked the lessons enough to talk him into uploading one as a tutorial to bring attention to the shop.
That video took off. YouTube’s blog says that within a couple of months Headlines went from five clients a week to 800, many of them mentioning his videos. His goal had been five barbershops in five years; by 2021 he had opened seven, plus a Tomb45 warehouse and offices in Tampa. At the time he estimated he employed around 100 people, including about 70 barbers. Those are 2021 figures, so treat them as a snapshot.
The profile also says he runs an annual workshop on the business of barbering and on using YouTube to grow a clientele, that his last workshop before the profile drew more than 300 attendees, and that about 40 of his students had opened their own shops in the Tampa area.
How Tomb45 Started
Tomb45 began with shaving gel. YouTube’s blog says his subscribers asked him to make his own shaving accessories, so he learned how to make a shave gel from YouTube tutorials and launched a line he named Tomb45, after the ancient Egyptian barber who was so valued in his community that he was honored with a tomb. The same profile says Tomb45 sold over 70% of its inventory on the first day and, by 2021, was selling 10,000 products a month in 15 countries.
Tomb45’s own store still lists a Shave Gel, and the catalog has grown well beyond it. The Tomb45 Shave Gel listing on Amazon showed as currently unavailable when we checked on October 31, 2026, so we do not link it here.
Recognition He Reports
The Tomb45 Academy page says Bossio was the “2019 international educator of the year,” and its educator bio says the award was “Educator of the Year” at the CT Barber Expo. That is the Academy’s own wording, and we could not find the awarding body’s page confirming it. In a June 2026 LinkedIn post he says he was named Educator of the Decade at the Connecticut Barber Expo. Both are his own statements, so treat them as reported, not independently confirmed.
Videos Worth Knowing
Here are three videos linked in our earlier version of this page. Titles and channels are as YouTube lists them.
- “Bossio Speaks. And He Came With Receipts. | A 3 Hour Convo With @Bossiocuts” is on the Its Marvy Marv channel, an interview with Bossio, not a video on his own channel.
- “How to fade secrets!” is on Bossio’s own channel.
- “How to Grow Your Barber Business Without Relying on Social Media Fame” is on Bossio’s own channel.
Tomb45 Products
Tomb45 sells barber products on tomb45.com. As of October 13, 2026 its home page featured BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 clippers and trimmers (the FXT45 line) and Tomb45 Powered Mats, which are wireless charging mats. Prices change, so check the maker’s page. We do not list store prices here.
When we went through Tomb45’s catalog again on October 31, 2026, it fell into a few groups:
- Wireless charging: the Powered Mat, expansion pads, and PowerClips and PowerPods, which are adapters that let specific clippers and trimmers from Wahl, Andis, BaBylissPRO, StyleCraft and others charge on the mat.
- The BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 tools: the FXT45 clipper and trimmer, a wireless charging pad, and a double-foil shaver.
- Styling and finishing: clays, pomade, paste, wax, sea salt spray, hair tonic, texture powder, aftershave and the original shave gel.
- Enhancements: No Drip Enhancement Color, hair building fibers and the BeamTeam XL cordless airbrush.
Tomb45’s page describes the Powered Mat as a rubber organizing mat with two wireless charging modules built in, indicator lights and room to add three more modules with an expansion pad. The Powered Mat showed as currently unavailable on Amazon on October 31, 2026, so buy it from tomb45.com if you want one. One of the adapters is on Amazon, though: the Tomb45 Wireless Charging PowerClip for Wahl Cordless Magic Clip, which its listing says fits the Wahl Cordless Magic Clip, Cordless Sterling 4, Cordless Designer and any Wahl clipper with a plastic body. It was down to its last unit in stock when we checked.

The BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 FXT45 Line
The FXT45 tools are built by BaBylissPRO and co-designed with Tomb45. We cover them in depth in our FXT45 explainer; here is the short version.
- Clipper (FXT45C): the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 Wireless Charging Clipper has a DS1 dual-speed motor, 6,800 RPM on low and 7,500 RPM on high, according to BaBylissPRO’s manual and Tomb45. Tomb45 lists up to 4 hours of runtime, and the kit has six guards and a 5-position locking taper lever.
- Trimmer (FXT45T): the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 Wireless Charging Trimmer lists up to 3 hours of runtime on BaBylissPRO’s page. BarberEVO Magazine described its reversed blade orientation and side-positioned lever.
- Pad (FXT45MAT): BaBylissPRO says the tool turns off when you set it on the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 Wireless Charging Pad, and an LED rim shows it is charging. It works with the clipper and the trimmer.
BaBylissPRO’s manual also lists USB-C and its standard cord as charging options for the clipper, so the pad is a convenience, not a requirement. If you already cut with a Wahl Professional 5 Star Magic Clip Cordless and like the idea of setting tools down to charge, the PowerClip above is the cheaper way into Tomb45’s charging system.

Tomb45 Academy
The Academy page (checked October 13, 2026) lists these plans, in the Academy’s own words:
- Foundations: $299 one time, lifetime access, a curriculum covering hair types, tools, consultation, fading, scissorwork, styling and basic business.
- Tomb45 Academy: $20 a month. Tutorials from multiple Tomb45 educators, livestreams and a Discord community.
- 6FB Mentorship: $120 a month. Group mentorship that the page says includes weekly mentorship calls with Bossio. The page says six figures is the standard it aims for, and a separate 6FB site says six figures is not a guaranteed outcome.
Prices may have changed since we checked. Confirm on the Academy site before you join.
Reaction and Controversy
Bossio is a public figure and some of what is said about him is disputed. We cover the TPOB videos in a separate article that attributes each claim and does not take a side: TPOB vs Chris Bossio: What Two Videos Claim.
What Barbers Can Take From His Story
You do not have to like everything about Bossio or his business to learn from how it was built. The public record points to a few habits any barber can copy:
- Teach in the shop. His YouTube career started from teaching the barbers around him during slow hours. Explaining a technique sharpens your own.
- Film the lesson you already give. The first tutorial was a lesson he was already teaching, aimed at bringing clients into one shop.
- Listen for what the audience asks for. Tomb45 started because subscribers asked for shaving products, and the charging tools grew from barbers’ own problem: keeping cordless clippers charged behind the chair.
- Build things other barbers can grow inside. YouTube’s profile says barbers who worked for him went on to open their own shops.
On the other side of the ledger, our separate article on the TPOB dispute covers the criticism, and it is worth reading both before you pay for any mentorship.
If you want the tools from his brand, the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 trimmer pairs with the clipper and the BaBylissPRO x Tomb45 wireless pad.
If you want to start smaller, the Tomb45 PowerClip for Wahl turns a Wahl Magic Clip into a wireless-charging clipper.
